Rep (Repetition)

A rep is one complete performance of an exercise — a single full range-of-motion cycle, like lowering and raising a weight once.

A rep, short for repetition, is the basic unit of any workout. It's one full cycle of an exercise: the lifting (or lowering) phase and the return to the start. Ten reps of a squat means you stood up and sat down ten times.

What counts as a real rep is the full range of motion — going all the way up and all the way down. Partial reps (stopping halfway) leave results on the table, which is exactly why REP RUSH only counts reps that reach real depth and clean form.

Example

Curl a dumbbell all the way up and lower it fully, ten times — that's 10 reps.
